Cost Management · Project Management · Data Analytics

Hi! I'm Mubin.

My passion initially revolved around three things: large structures, advanced materials and sustainability.

But what fascinated me the most was the role that data played in shaping management decisions within these fields.

Engineer by background, consultant by profession. I enjoy being at the interface between operations and strategy.

01 About

The seam between commercial and data

I support cost and commercial delivery on large, multi-site residential programmes — and I develop the Python, SQL and Power Query/BI that turn raw programme and cost data into audit-ready reporting.

My career began in engineering design on high-risk projects, from the controlled felling of a 120m flare stack to deep four-storey excavations in the heart of London. That same rigour and attention to detail now underpin how I manage cost, risk and performance across a £1.2bn portfolio.

  • C

    Commercial control

Valuations, payment certification, variation tracking, NEC/JCT administration and cost reporting.

  • P

    Project controls

Programme-aligned cashflow forecasting and earned-value reporting on Oracle Primavera Cloud.

  • D

    Data engineering

Power BI, Python, SQL and ETL pipelines that automate reporting and remove manual error.

02 Featured projects

Selected work

Four projects that span the commercial, data and engineering sides of the built environment.

P—01 Cost & Commercial

Programme-integrated valuation & reporting framework

Integrated Primavera P6 with Oracle Primavera Cloud and Excel to streamline monthly payment certification and interim valuations across a multi-site residential portfolio. The result: audit-ready outputs, improved cashflow forecasting and faster, data-driven approvals — with an automation-led approach that lets the client team work strategically.

P—02 Cashflow & Forecasting

Cashflow forecasting framework

Created a cashflow model that integrates reported progress on site with contractual payment milestones across the residential programme. The output includes visual dashboards and reporting that support monthly cashflow review, scenario testing and board-level decision making — helping to surface funding risks and keep delivery aligned with the programme.

P—03 Engineering

In-house shoring system & temporary works design

Designed temporary works for demolition on constrained Central London sites, including a shoring system fabricated from repurposed pipeline members as a lower-cost alternative to leased proprietary kit. Carried out FEA stability checks on a 41m screen house and 120m flare stack within an explosive demolition scheme, with bespoke calculation tools coded to Eurocode standards.

P—04 Automation & Risk

Risk & reporting automation in banking

In a private bank, co-designed an operational risk matrix that reduced open control issues by up to 25% over six months, built an Excel leave-management system that halved approval time, and delivered macro automation training that cut compliance reporting time by ~30% — the early proof that the automation instinct runs through everything I do.
